Clint Eastwood’s Daughter Opened Up About What The Movie Star Is Really Like As A Dad
Clint Eastwood is a Hollywood powerhouse. He acts. He directs. Frankly, he does it all! The veteran performer has built a pristine Hollywood career on his uber-masculine image, but how much of that rings true when he's in the role of dad to any one of his eight children? One of his daughters has used the word "robot" when referring to her famous father, and she didn't stop there. Clint's second child by his first wife opened up about what it's like being raised by one of the entertainment industry's most acclaimed stars.
Eight children, eight stories
Most die-hard Clint Eastwood fans will recognize him from back in the '60s when he starred in a slew of spaghetti Westerns. These films went on to make him a star. Later, Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, both of which Clint directed, would go on to win Academy Awards for his work at the helm. But in the midst of all this, Clint had a pretty busy personal life, too. Even while in committed relationships or marriages, the actor has famously stepped out and had affairs on more than one occasion. As such, he has a larger-than-average family. And with eight kids to keep track of, some of them have come forward with their opinions.
Growing up in Hollywood
One of Clint’s older children, Alison, has had plenty to say about her father’s unique parenting style. An actor and director herself, Alison has had ample opportunity to share what she thinks about her father with the press. And Clint’s daughter didn’t hold back in an interview with Closer, where she lifted the lid on all things Eastwood and told the public what it was really like to grow up with a busy Hollywood father.
Earning a reputation
In his over seven-decades-long career, Clint has earned himself a reputation as a top-notch actor and director, but he has also turned heads for his many relationships over the years. Although he was married only twice, his love life could certainly have earned some awards for most tumultuous. His second — and most recent — marriage was to news anchor Dina Ruiz. They had a good run, with their union staying strong from 1996 to 2013. Sadly, despite Ruiz claiming no hard feelings between her and ex-husband Clint, things just didn't work out. There was one definite positive, though.
The youngest Eastwood
Ruiz and Clint Eastwood share one child together: a daughter named Morgan, the youngest of his eight children and arguably one of the most private. With little to no interviews and only social media posts that give little away, it's hard to ascertain how well Morgan and her dad get on. Still, they starred alongside each other in Million Dollar Baby, so there's that! But before bringing his final child into the world, Clint had a long-term relationship in the 1990s with Titanic actress Frances Fisher. And together, they also added to the Eastwood brood.
